Shipping/Insurance Instructions

Shipping Consigned Jewelry

To our buyers:

Your item will be mailed out within 48 hours using a private carrier (UPS or FedEx) or via US Mail. Please note: you will be emailed tracking information, and your package will require a signature. During shipment, it’s insured under our policy. Sorry, we cannot ship internationally at this time.

Please Contact Us for shipping instructions should you choose to return an item under our ten day return policy.

For our consignors:

Once you’ve completed the on line Consignment Form and it’s been reviewed, we’ll email you a label to affix to your package. Your item(s) will be covered under our insurance policy during shipment, while they are in our possession, and when they are shipped to the buyer.

Tips for packing your jewelry:

1. Layer it.

Wrap the jewelry and put it inside a small box. Place the small box
inside a larger, unmarked shipping box. Larger boxes are less likely to
be thrown away, lost in the shuffle, or easily stolen.

2. Keep jewelry snug and secure.

Use packing material and heavy-duty shipping tape to seal the large box. Make sure the inner box is snug to avoid shifting and damage in transit.

3. Disguise your package.

Never reveal the contents of your package on the outer label or anywhere on the packaging. It makes for an easy target for thieves. The label you receive from us via email to put on your package will be addressed to Joyce Heaton (with no mention of jewelry).

Mum's the word.

There’s no need to claim that you’re shipping jewelry when dropping the item off at your item to be shipped.

I’d like to put your mind at ease: I’ve been shipping and receiving jewelry for many years, some of which was quite valuable, and I’ve had very, very few problems.   In fact, nothing was ever stolen (just misdirected). It’s really just a matter of using common sense.
